Gas Tables for Compressible Flow Calculations

Book Description

The subject of compressible flow or gas dynamics deals with the thermo-fluid dynamic problems of gases and vapours. It is now an important part of the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. Fundamentals of Compressible Flow covers this subject in fourteen well organised chapters in a lucid style. A large mass of theoretical material and equations has been supported by a number of figures and graphical depictions. Author's sprawling teaching experience in this subject and allied areas is reflected in the clarity, and systematic and logical presentation.

Gas Tables Steady One-Dimensional Flow of Perfect Gas

Book Description

This data book on gas tables covers the subject matter in eleven well organized chapters supported with a number of graphical depictions. It contains tabulated values of parameters obtained by solving one-dimensional equations of compressible fluid flow. It is useful as a reference data book for solving problems in compressible fluid dynamics or gas dynamics and propulsion engineering. This book is designed for use by the students and professionals engaged in the fields of mechanical, aerospace and chemical engineering. KEY FEATURES : Contains tabulated values and charts of compressible flow functions. Equations used in preparing the tables are presented separately. Separate table for standard atmosphere is given. The present book can be used as a reference data table for university examinations.

Gas Pipeline Hydraulics

Book Description

This book is concerned with the steady state hydraulics of natural gas and other compressible fluids being transported through pipelines. Our main approach is to determine the flow rate possible and compressor station horsepower required within the limitations of pipe strength, based on the pipe materials and grade. It addresses the scenarios where one or more compressors may be required depending on the gas flow rate and if discharge cooling is needed to limit the gas temperatures. The book is the result of over 38 years of the authors' experience on pipelines in North and South America while working for major energy companies such as ARCO, El Paso Energy, etc.
