Book Description
In life we will encounter events that might cause us to curse the day of our birth like Job did in Job 3:1. These events can leave us wondering if we, somehow, are paying the debts of sinful wages that were left behind from our ancestors. Sometimes we may question God and ask if it is something that we might have done wrong, after all being a Christian should sheild us from facing hardships. These unforseen events can baffle us and exhaust us so much that we give up and question God, as if He brought these disasters on us. At some point His hand might move against those who are living unrighteously but for the born again believer, this is not true. The belief that God is punishing us for doing what He expects of us is not right thinking. Its a lie from Satan and his master plan is for us to doubt God. Satan wants us to be so shaken and bogged down with fear that we will not try to get back up and move forward towards the plans that the Father has ordained for our lives. And, many times he succeeds. It's a strange place to be in when you are caught in the center of the rough winds that storms bring. You feel flustered, hopeless, defeated and distrustful of God's plan. When you learn to hold onto the hand that created you and practice to speak life from God's word into your life then hopelessness has no place where your faith is evident. Hebrews 4:12-13 sums it up this way.. "For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."That scripture alone holds the key to understanding that God knows us and loves us and that there is nothing we can do without Him. It covers a large spectrum of hope and our faithfulness or lack of as we are serving, trusting, and believing in Him.
