Sven Syverson (1820-1910) married Birgit Syversdatter Breie-Ekrene, and in 1857 the family immigrated from Norway (via Quebec) to Dane County, Wisconsin, later moving to land in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. Descendants (chiefly spelling the name Severson) and relatives lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, California and elsewhere.
