The book also covers the individual history of every Service Member and every aircraft assigned to the squadron from 1943 to 1945 with hundreds of period photographs, maps and documents. The fourth volume in this momentous series commences with the attacks on the Italian island fortress of Pantellaria, which led to its surrender and occupation achieved almost by air attack alone.
