An electrician applicant may want to first contact the local county licensing office for the area in which he plans to work to obtain an exam/license application. Entry-level electrical workers are usually required to go through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training from a master electrician. To become a licensed journeyman, one need to possess at least 8,000 hours of work experience under the supervision of a master electrician plus complete a Florida Department of Education approved apprenticeship program.In the US, almost all technical exams on electrical works are based on the NEC.
