INTERVAL TYPE-2 FUZZY SETS AND INTERVAL NEUTROSOPHIC SETS IN INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS

Book Description

In this thesis, interval type-2 fuzzy sets (IT2FSs) and interval neutrosophic sets (INSs) have been considered for all the proposed concepts. Fusion of information is an essential task to get the optimized solution for any real world problem. In this task, aggregation operators are playing an important role in all the fields. Since most of the realistic problems have uncertainty in nature, one can use the logic of fuzzy and neutrosophic theory. For the entire proposed concepts interval based logic has been used as it handles more uncertainty.

Interval Neutrosophic Sets and Logic: Theory and Applications in Computing

Book Description

This book presents the advancements and applications of neutrosophics, which are generalizations of fuzzy logic, fuzzy set, and imprecise probability. The neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic set, neutrosophic probability, and neutrosophic statistics are increasingly used in engineering applications (especially for software and information fusion), medicine, military, cybernetics, physics. In the last chapter a soft semantic Web Services agent framework is proposed to facilitate the registration and discovery of high quality semantic Web Services agent. The intelligent inference engine module of soft semantic Web Services agent is implemented using interval neutrosophic logic.

Analyzing Age Group and Time of the Day Using Interval Valued Neutrosophic Sets

Book Description

Human psychological behavior is always uncertain in nature with the truth, indeterminacy and falsity of the information and hence neutrosophic logic is able to deal with this kind of real world problems as it resembles human’s attitude very closely. In this paper, age group analysis and time (day or night) analysis have been carried out using interval valued neutrosophic sets. Further, the impact of the present work is presented.

Multi-criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets

Book Description

In this paper, a new tangent similarity between single valued neutrosophic sets is given, which contain tangent similarity [23] as a special case. A best-worst multi-criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets is proposed. To achieve this goal, we design an algorithm to identify the best andworst criteria through computing the outdegrees and in-degrees of the collective single valued neutrosophic preference relation directed network, and then calculate the optimal weight vector of attributes. Moreover, a mathematical model corresponding to the definitions of consistent single valued neutrosophic preference relation is contracted. Finaly, the evaluation values of all alternatives are calculated by the proposed new tangent similarity.

Measures of Probabilistic Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Sets and the Application in Reducing Unnecessary Evaluation Processes

Book Description

Distance measure and similarity measure have been applied to various multi-criteria decision-making environments, like talent selections, fault diagnoses and so on. Some improved distance and similarity measures have been proposed by some researchers. However, hesitancy is reflected in all aspects of life, thus the hesitant information needs to be considered in measures. Then, it can effectively avoid the loss of fuzzy information.

Fuzzy Sets and Their Extensions: Representation, Aggregation and Models

Book Description

This carefully edited book presents an up-to-date state of current research in the use of fuzzy sets and their extensions. It pays particular attention to foundation issues and to their application to four important areas where fuzzy sets are seen to be an important tool for modeling and solving problems. The book’s 34 chapters deal with the subject with clarity and effectiveness. They include four review papers introducing some non-standard representations
