Laughing-Crying-Naked

Book Description

If you have ever been afraid of GOD. Seeking answers and complication get in your way. Wanting to know that you are truly saved. Wanting everything; but finding nothing. Wanting to knock on GOD's door but can't find it; or does it even exist? THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU In today's world people are interested in their spiritual growth, and many books and classes are available. The authors give their opinions and facts in all different types of methods. This was not available in the years that this author was raised. In 1960 things were very different. The word GOD was never used outside of religious gatherings. We were taught that we must love GOD. Did we? Or were we afraid not to, for various reasons. Questions were not asked, since there were no answers. The author never realized that it was possible for GOD to give us another way, that would help us obtain our true destination, to strive for our good dreams, which were held inside of us. He did and still does. In October 1960 she felt GOD's love and wrote down His inner soft words because she knew they were Sacred. -GOD CREPT UP ON ME. I KNOW NOT FROM WHERE, BUT WHEN I TURNED AROUND I FOUND HIM, HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE.- At the time, she did not realize it, but her first Mystical Experience began. There would be four more, through the years, each lasting one week. This book contains the author's 43 year Spiritual Journey which leads to the Glorification of GOD. He lead, she followed. At times she lead and He walked along side of her or through her. She surrendered to His love and found the Peace, Love and Joy that is available to others also. It is not easy to share something that is very sacred to you. When you begin to acknowledge that it is GOD's will and desire, you begin cautiously and receive the strength of GOD behind you and sometimes opening up a path, which eventually completes the mission.

The Cry of the Senses

Book Description

In The Cry of the Senses, Ren Ellis Neyra examines the imaginative possibility for sound and poetics to foster new modes of sensorial solidarity in the Caribbean Americas. Weaving together the black radical tradition with Caribbean and Latinx performance, cinema, music, and literature, Ellis Neyra highlights the ways Latinx and Caribbean sonic practices challenge antiblack, colonial, post-Enlightenment, and humanist epistemologies. They locate and address the sonic in its myriad manifestations—across genres and forms, in a legal trial, and in the art and writing of Xandra Ibarra, the Fania All-Stars, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz, Édouard Glissant, and Eduardo Corral—while demonstrating how it operates as a raucous form of diasporic dissent and connectivity. Throughout, Ellis Neyra emphasizes Caribbean and Latinx sensorial practices while attuning readers to the many forms of blackness and queerness. Tracking the sonic through their method of multisensorial, poetic listening, Ellis Neyra shows how attending to the senses can inspire alternate, ethical ways of collective listening and being.

After bombing a stand-up set at her own bat mitzvah, Winnie has kept her jokes to herself. Well, to herself and her dad, a former comedian and her inspiration. Then, on the second day of tenth grade, the funniest guy in school actually laughs at a comment she makes in the lunch line and asks her to join the improv troupe. Maybe he's even . . . flirting? Just when Winnie's ready to say yes to comedy again, her father reveals that he's been diagnosed with ALS. That is . . . not funny. Her dad's still making jokes, though, which feels like a good thing. And Winnie's prepared to be his straight man if that's what he wants. But is it what he needs? Laugh at the Blue Moon Crying

Book Description

This book is a compilation of my work from the past 16 years. What this means is, in this book you will literally find writing about everything that happens in a normal person's life from early teenage years well through much of adulthood. I write about true experiences and the emotions all of us feel from time to time, and most are just afraid to ever talk about them or express them in any way, until now. This book is for anyone who's ever cried over a broken heart, lost a loved one, was angry at your family, your friend's might have annoyed you, anyone who has ever gotten in trouble from just being around the wrong people, anyone who's gotten married, had marital problems, had kids, or just about anything else that can happen in life. In short this is a book, the entire world can relate to just about all of it.

Stories between Tears and Laughter

Book Description

While histories of Czech cinema often highlight the quality of Czechoslovak New Wave films made in the 1960s, post-socialist Czech cinema receives little attention. Through a methodology of historical reception, Stories between Tears and Laughter explores how attitudes towards post-socialist Czech cinema have shifted from viewing it as radical “art cinema” and more towards popular cinema. By analyzing publicity materials, reviews, and articles, Richard Vojvoda offers a new perspective on the notions of cultural value and quality that have been shaping the history of post-socialist Czech cinema.

Tears of Laughter

Book Description

These stories are primarily about love, and all the various entanglements of new relationships. They are very different stories, but one can see some similarities both thematically and in terms of character. They attempt to illuminate a variety of moods and ideas, and where those ideas can ultimately lead. These are my two favorite stories, and I hope you will enjoy them.
