Book Description
Excerpt from Lux, 1914 We take pleasure in presenting to the public our annual Lux (light), after much labor and perseverance, and hope it will meet with popular approval. Many new improvements have been added to the school. A blacksmith shop has been installed in the Manual Training building. The boys have assisted greatly in its equipment, ceiling the blacksmith shop, making their own cement forges and many of the tools which they use. Some excellent work is also being done in wood work and mechanical drawing. This train ing is very valuable to the boys. Botany has been added to the course this year, a most interesting subject. This study familiarizes the student with the principal features of plant life. We need more school spirit. Wake nip, boys! Don't let the girls get ahead of you in athletics as they have this year. Be faithful and diligent in your training and success will surely come. The editor wishes to thank all who have so willingly assisted her. The staff has worked very diligently and the school has generously contributed to the success of the book. We wish to thank the advertisers who have so cheerfully patronized us making it possible for us to present Lux to the public.
