The ad image has become the focus of ad research, and to a certain extent this is justified. To understand how the ad image is received, the tradition of advertising creators, planners and buyers have asserted it is based on memory. Specifically, it is rooted in affective memory in which the unconscious plays a role. The other side is cognitive, where the image may be received, but less affectively. Today, neuroscience is being deployed to validated current findings in order to prove advertising legitimization. The biggest companies are involved in the business of using technological reading of biomedicine to validate claims. However, the theoretical apparatuses remain the same as before. This book demonstrates a short critique of the theories and technology trending within the industry and demonstrates how the industry should be looking at the phenomenological foundations of memory as a body kinesthetic engagement before the image.







The Influence of Motion Type on Memory of Simple Events


Book Description

This experiment investigated an individual's memory of specific motion events, unique actor, intrinsic motion, and extrinsic motion combination. Intrinsic motions involve the movement of an individual's body parts in a specific manner to move around, while extrinsic motions specify a path in reference to an external object. Participants viewed video clips, each depicting an actor performing a unique extrinsic and intrinsic motion combination. One week later, they viewed a different series of retrieval video clips consisting of old (identical to encoding), extrinsic conjunction (extrinsic motion previously performed by different actor), intrinsic conjunction (intrinsic motion previously performed by different actor), and new (novel extrinsic or intrinsic motion) video clips. Participants responded "yes" to viewing the old video clips the most often, followed by conjunction video clips, and then new video clips. Furthermore, there were a greater number of "yes" event memory recognition responses for extrinsic conjunction items than intrinsic conjunction items.

MPEG-4 is the multimedia standard for combining interactivity, natural and synthetic digital video, audio and computer-graphics. Peter X Feng considers a wide range of works—from genres such as detective films to romantic comedies to ethnographic films, documentaries, avant-garde videos, newsreels, travelogues, and even home movies.
