Excerpt from Minutes of Sandy Run Baptist Association, North Carolina, Seventy-Second Annual Session: Held With Spencer Baptist Church, Spindale, N. C., Tuesday, October 17 and Race Path Baptist Church, Route 2, Ellenboro, N. C., Wednesday, October 18, 1961 Sec. 1. The Association shall be composed of Baptist Churches of Rutherford County, Cleveland County and Polk County which are now members, and any other Baptist churches which may hereafter be admitted as provided. Sec. 2. Each church shall be entitled to be represented by her pastor and two representatives. Any church with more than fifty members shall be entitled to a messenger for each additional fifty members or fraction thereof.
