Advances in media, technology and psychology have had an enormous effect on how students learn and how teachers teach. This book presents new media applications for teaching as well as new methodologies to help students with special needs. An investigation of the effectiveness of multimedia computer assisted instruction is presented. The needs of the autistic are addressed in this book as well, with attention given to the use of Virtual Reality applications that may improve the learning, training and quality of life of people with autism as well as other learning difficulties.
