Neither Darwin Nor Genesis

Book Description

For over 150 years, a war of words has been fought between science and religion over which theory best describes life as we know it-Darwin's theory or the story as presented in the Christian Bible. In a bold new approach, Neither Darwin Nor Genesis clearly outlines the major flaws in both arguments and offers a whole new view of life, creation, and evolution based on fundamentals of metaphysical science which looks beyond the physical, visible realms to uncover the invisible but intelligent forces which govern all things in form. This New Paradigm of life comes as school leaders and our nation's courts are being besieged by the proponents of two old schools of thought try to establish their world view into the minds of our children. In one swoop, Neither Darwin Nor Genesis shows clearly why neither of those theories hold water, and now offers one that does. As we move into new millennia with a world dangerously out of balance, the New Paradigm offers a worldview that has been known to aboriginal cultures for eons and concurrently is being accepted by quantum physicists and New Thought spiritualists.

Replacing Darwin

Book Description

If Darwin were to examine the evidence today using modern science, would his conclusions be the same? Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species, published over 150 years ago, is considered one of history’s most influential books and continues to serve as the foundation of thought for evolutionary biology. Since Darwin’s time, however, new fields of science have immerged that simply give us better answers to the question of origins. With a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from Harvard University, Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson is uniquely qualified to investigate what genetics reveal about origins. The Origins Puzzle Comes Together If the science surrounding origins were a puzzle, Darwin would have had fewer than 15% of the pieces to work with when he developed his theory of evolution. We now have a much greater percentage of the pieces because of modern scientific research. As Dr. Jeanson puts the new pieces together, a whole new picture emerges, giving us a testable, predictive model to explain the origin of species. A New Scientific Revolution Begins Darwin’s theory of evolution may be one of science’s “sacred cows,” but genetics research is proving it wrong. Changing an entrenched narrative, even if it’s wrong, is no easy task. Replacing Darwin asks you to consider the possibility that, based on genetics research, our origins are more easily understood in the context of . . . In the beginning . . . God, with the timeline found in the biblical narrative of Genesis. There is a better answer to the origins debate than what we have been led to believe. Let the revolution begin! About the Author Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson is a scientist and a scholar, trained in one of the most prestigious universities in the world. He earned his B.S. in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and his PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard University. As an undergraduate, he researched the molecular control of photosynthesis, and his graduate work involved investigating the molecular and physiological control of adult blood stem cells. His findings have been presented at regional and national conferences and have been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Blood, Nature, and Cell. Since 2009, he has been actively researching the origin of species, both at the Institute for Creation Research and at Answers in Genesis.

Evolution: Genesis and Revelations

Book Description

In this comprehensive history of evolutionism, C. Leon Harris has combined primary source readings with clear, pertinent background information, to provide a solid basic understanding of the ways scientists have arrived at today's views of evolution. Harris describes the major contributors to the theory of evolutionism, placing each in the context of the general cultural influences to which he was exposed. Each chapter also contains an explanation of the philosophical basis of the scientific approach of the period in question. A lengthy bibliography provides direction for further reading on this important and timely subject.

The Subjectivity of Scientists and the Bayesian Approach

Book Description

Intriguing examination of works by Aristotle, Galileo, Newton, Pasteur, Einstein, Margaret Mead, and other scientists in terms of subjectivity and the Bayesian approach to statistical analysis. "An insightful work." — Choice. 2001 edition.

Reading Genesis After Darwin

Book Description

First, the authors explore how the scriptures were interpreted before the time of Darwin. Part II presents essays on the real history of the Darwin controversies, exploding the myths about this period. The final chapter deals with the rise of creationism in its current social context.

Bridging the Atlantic

Book Description

Bridging the Atlantic discusses comparative developments in modern European and American history. The case studies on British, German, and U.S. History since the eighteenth century assembled here seek to establish an integrated vision of Atlantic history.
