Pi NN Systems

Book Description

This book gives a comprehensive review of the current status of the theory of the pion-two-nucleon systems at intermediate energies. It also makes an extensive comparison of the theoretical prediction with the corresponding data obtained recently from the major meson factories.

NS-k-NN: Neutrosophic Set-Based k-Nearest Neighbors Classifier

Book Description

k-nearest neighbors (k-NN), which is known to be a simple and efficient approach, is a non-parametric supervised classifier. It aims to determine the class label of an unknown sample by its k-nearest neighbors that are stored in a training set. The k-nearest neighbors are determined based on some distance functions. Although k-NN produces successful results, there have been some extensions for improving its precision. The neutrosophic set (NS) defines three memberships namely T, I and F. T, I, and F shows the truth membership degree, the false membership degree, and the indeterminacy membership degree, respectively. In this paper, the NS memberships are adopted to improve the classification performance of the k-NN classifier.

Quantum Statistical Mechanics: Selected Works Of N N Bogolubov

Book Description

In this book we have solved the complicated problem of constructing upper bounds for many-time averages for the case of a fairly broad class of model systems with four-fermion interaction. The methods proposed in this book for solving this problem will undoubtedly find application not only for the model systems associated with the theory of superconductivity considered here. The theoretical methods developed in Chapters 1 and 2 are already applicable to a much broader class of model systems from statistical physics and the theory of elementary particles.

Computer Algebra In Physical Research: Memorial Volume For N N Govorun - Proceedings Of The Iv International Conference

Book Description

Professor Nicholas N Govorun, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, was the principal organizer of the precedent meetings held at Dubna (1979, 1983, 1985). Unfortunately, he passed away in 1989. This volume is to honor his support in Computer Algebra. This is perhaps the only meeting of the entire soviet union computer algebra community and foreign scientists. The meeting presented scientific results, plans for research facilities, and status reports of the basic areas of investigations. The fields covered include computer algebra systems and general algorithms as well as applied algorithms, programs and results in computer algebra applications (mainly in physics).
