Organization and Administration of an Audio-visual Program in the Individual School

Book Description

"This study on the 'Organization and Administration of an Audio-Visual Program in the Individual School' proposes to integrate the factors in the philosophy of audio-visual techniques and the mechanics of using audio-visual aids. It further proposes to apply the results of this synthesis to an actual program of a high school...Most of the extension of sensory learning activities involving the use of mechanical aids is waiting for promotional leadership. This study, then, becomes the plan for attack with audio-visual aids on implementing the postwar curriculums of the high school. These incentives are laid out in chapter II. Chapter III discusses the general organization and subsequent administration of material and personnel for the use of effective audio-visual techniques in an average secondary school. Chapter IV enlarges upon the qualifications and the functions of that promotional leader in each school who is most frequently referred to as the audio-visual coordinator. It presents much of the detailed activities expected of this key person who must encourage his own colleagues while he serves as liaison agent with the city, county or state directors as well as with the federal agencies, libraries, distributors, and producers of audio-visual aids. The conclusions, including a summary of the procedures previously described, are framed in Chapter V."--Leaf 1, leaves 6-7.
