Book Description

A collection of Ukrainian language publications published either in Ukraine or in neighbouring countries. They span from the early 1900s to the mid-1990s, and consist of small-sized booklets from various private and government printing houses. The content of these publications include: republished works by such notable writers as Mykhailo Kotsiubynsʹkyi, Bohdan Lepkyi, Leo Tolstoy, Marko Vovchok, and Volodymyr Vynnychenko; political and economic treatises; and original novellas. The collection encompasses over 100 such publications.

This book is a survey of domestic governmental and party printed propaganda in revolutionary Ukraine. It is based on an illustrative sample of leaflets, pamphlets, and cartoons published by different parties and governments between 1917 and 1922.
