Book Description
"The rapid development of irrigation projects in the West and the well-recognized value of the potato both as a money crop and as a rotation crop have produced an ever-increasing demand for information at to the best cultural practices to adopt in the growing of potatoes under irrigation. The information contained in this bulletin applies more specifically to the irrigated sections of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming in which more or less extensive acreages are devoted to the raising of potatoes. Cultural and irrigation practices are not necessarily identical throughout the several States mentioned. A striking illustration of this is to be noted in connection with the tule, or peat, delta lands of the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers." -- p. [2]
