When Jesus asked us to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, and visit the imprisoned, he didn’t mean it literally, right? Kerry Weber, a modern, young, single woman in New York City sets out to see if she can practice the Corporal Works of Mercy in an authentic, personal, meaningful manner while maintaining a full, robust, regular life. Weber, a lay Catholic, explores the Works of Mercy in the real world, with a gut-level honesty and transparency that people of urban, country, and suburban locales alike can relate to. Mercy in the City is for anyone who is struggling to live in a meaningful, merciful way amid the pressures of “real life.” For those who feel they are already overscheduled and too busy, for those who assume that they are not “religious enough” to practice the Works of Mercy, for those who worry that they are alone in their efforts to live an authentic life, Mercy in the City proves that by living as people for others, we learn to connect as people of faith.

Unveiling Mercy will do just that—unveil how the mercy of God in the Messiah is spoken of from the very opening Hebrew word of the Bible, all the way to the closing chapter of Malachi. By the end of the year, you will have entered the Old Testament through 365 new doorways, looked with fresh eyes at old verses, and traced a web of connections all over the Scriptures that you've never spotted before. You'll begin to see what one person meant when he described Hebrew words as "hyphens between heaven and earth." Reading the Bible in translation can be like "kissing the bride through the veil." Each of these 365 devotions is crafted so as to lift that veil ever so slightly, to touch skin to skin, as it were, with the original language. You do not need to know anything about Hebrew to profit from these meditations. They are not written to teach you the language of Abraham, Moses, and Isaiah, but to give you a taste of their insights, to expose you to their eloquence, to laugh with them at their winking wordplays, to un-English their idioms, and—most importantly—to trace their trajectories all the way into the preaching of the Messiah and the writings of his evangelists and apostles.

"I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:3 The Final Chapter From Billy Graham. Experience the glory of heaven as Billy Graham, the beloved evangelist, shares from his past, and his present, the reality of eternity. As our nation and world travail in the midst of political, economic, and cultural uncertainties, we can find comfort in the hope that comes from the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Whether talking with a US president, a world leader, or the common man or being interviewed on network television, Billy Graham has always begun his answers with “The Bible says…” In Where I Am, Mr. Graham shares what the Bible has to say about eternity from all of its sixty-six books; messages of truth, warning, love, and the certainty of the future, all gleaned by a man who would like to be remembered solely as a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The greatest promise ever given to the human race came from the lips of our Redeemer when Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3). Just after his ninety-fifth birthday, Mr. Graham proclaimed with resolve, “When I die, tell others that I’ve gone to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—that’s where I am.”

The unpardonable sin is lurking like a deadly shark preying on its next unsuspecting meal. ... Will you be its next victim? One of the most confusing and debated teachings of the Bible is the unpardonable sin, found in Matthew 12:31: "Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men." Some attribute this frightening sin to cursing the name of God, while others believe it has to do with murder. Whatever it is, millions of Christians live in fear that they've committed it and have no real hope. But even worse, others might be close to living beyond God's mercy and don't even know it! What is the Bible truth about the unpardonable sin? What is so awful about it and why can't God forgive it? You don't need to guess! Pastor Doug Batchelor tackles these questions to give you all the information you need to know about this perplexing topic. Not only will you get clear and penetrating answers, you'll discover new hope and a strategy to stay right with God.

From the late 1920's to 1938 a young Polish nun had visions of Jesus. Jesus asked her to write down the conversations they had over this period of years until she died of tuberculosis in 1938. A Polish priest, Fr. Sopocko, her friend, Confessor, and Spiritual Director, was her strong supporter and worked hard to get her notes composed into the book, "THE DIARY of ST. FAUSTINA. KOWALSKA." In that diary Jesus tells her that the greatest attribute of God is His Mercy. He taught her the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayer. After editing her notes Fr. Sopocko introduced Faustina's Dairy to a Polish Cardinal named Karol Wojktila (known today as Pope John Paul II). Years later as pope, he canonized Faustina a saint and he named the Sunday after Easter "Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus told her to commission a painting of Him as Divine Mercy just like He appeared to her in their numerous encounters. This painting is found in great a many churches throughout the world today. This book is an adaptation of the Divine Mercy Prayer. When I read the Diary, Jesus tells St. Faustina that it is very important to Him and to us that we meditate on His Sorrowful Passion. When I saw that comment of His, I began to try to figure out how to incorporate His Passion into the original prayer. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the help of friends, We devised what came to be a suitable format for this prayer... It begins with Jesus entering into the Garden of Gethsemane just after The Last Supper and follows Jesus as He encounters Satan, His arrest and trial, Pilate reluctantly condemning Him to death, the scourging, and finally the carrying of the cross to Calvary and His Crucifixion and death. This all with the hope of the Resurrection on the Third Day. It does describe Jesus' suffering rather graphically, backed by the Old and New Testament scriptures and science.
