A is for Another Rabbit

Book Description

A rabbit-obsessed narrator makes an owl increasingly irate by refusing to play by the rules of a conventional alphabet book. Every entry is about bunnies, from "delightful, dynamic, daredevil rabbits" to "xylophone rabbits and rabbits on drums " Readers will pore over scenes of bunnies at the circus, in a tiny town, at the museum, even in a motorcycle gang. Author-illustrator Hannah Batsel takes readers on a delightful romp through the alphabet and keeps them laughing all the way to the ridiculously fun conclusion.

''Hare'' 'N There Adventures of Rosie Rabbit

Book Description

Well, hello, my many dear readers. I am so excited about this wonderful adventure I am about to share with you. If you recall the last chapter in my Mackinac Island storybook, I mentioned that the five of us decided on taking a cruise to Hawaii. That means that I would have to fly to California with Diane and Jimmy K. then meet up with Rosemary and Richard. They lived in a charming city called Corona. More about that in another chapter. Before the cruise was scheduled for departure, we all decided to take a drive to Long Beach, where the majestic Queen Mary, a grand and great ocean liner that sailed the Atlantic Ocean, has been docked and transformed into a beautiful hotel. There is so much history behind this amazing ship going back to May 27, 1936, when it made her first maiden voyage. Our cruise ship will leave the Port of Los Angeles and be on the Pacific Ocean for four days then arriving at our first stop, the big island of Hawaii, visiting the port city of Hilo. We will enjoy the sights of this island for a full day, with day two in Honolulu. Next, Nawiliwili (Kauai) is our third port, with Maui (Lahaina) ending the islands tour plans. Returning back, we again will be at sea for four full days and arriving at Ensenada, Mexico, before docking in Los Angeles.

When she marries Paul Marchant it seems a perfect match - for Paul, owner of a much smaller fleet of ships, could take care both of Bridie and of her business interests. But slowly Bridie begins to have her doubts about Paul, about his love, and about his business dealings. When his actions become too much to bear, Bridie decides she must fight back. With the help of Ellie Hopkins, she seeks to trap Paul in a web of his own making... In the dramatic events that follow, both Ellie and Bridie are nearly destroyed - can they find happiness with the men they love? Sea Mistress is the fifth title in Iris Gower's Cordwainers series.
