Excerpt from Sketches of Rush County, Indiana Yielding to the impulse, I have written for the retrospection of the aged, and for the information of the young regarding some of the incidents in the history of our county. In sending them out, I wish to acknowledge my indebtedness to the two county Atlases for much of the early history of the county. The remainder has been drawn from tradition and reminiscence.
