Book Description

The Monument Bay area is about 150 sq km and is located about 50 km southwest of the town of Kenora. The area is part of the Lake of the Woods greenstone belt, an east-trending belt of metavolcanic-metasedimentary rocks which is located in the western part of the Wabigoon subprovince of the Superior province of the Canadian Shield. This report describes a detailed mapping project designed to encourage mineral exploration interest and to provide a basis for land use planning.
