About the Author Marie B. Jackson-Peoples, BS, MS, M.Ed. grew up in a Christian home in rural Virginia. Her recently published books include Book of Short Stories and An Awesome Power Controls this Universe. Peoples has also published articles, as a result of attending the Institute of Children's Literature in Connecticut. One of her favorites is Children Left Behind which lingered in her spirit after a three-week visit to South Africa. Peoples worked in the public schools in Washington, DC.
