The initial lineup of characters included crime fighting with the Mask; science fiction with Major Mars, war stories bySergeant Bill King, western adventures starring Jim Hatfield of the Texas Rangers and a plethora ofother dynamic features.EXCITING COMICS would eventually be remembered for the covers by Alex Schomburg and characterslike the Black Terror. Here is an opportunity to look behind the curtain of history and experience thebeginning of the titanic series that was known as EXCITING COMICS.This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are eightyyears old. The only scans of issue #1 are from fiche rather than paper. The best efforts have been madeto make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for theage of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
