You will discover that behind the courageous, strong character of Oriana, was lying dormant a truly sensitive heart. The life of Oriana Fallaci was dedicated to the true reporting of facts, but most of all, as a writer she never missed an opportunity to chant the hymn of the freedom of the individual, independently of any flag or colour of skin. A few dictators hated her, but she was adored by all women and men who were following in their heart the first human right that any man can have: freedom of opinion, and most of all, freedom of speech. This book has been inspired by the personal relationship between the author and the famous journalist and writer Oriana Fallaci. It is the true story of the friendship that developed against all odds between two very different women. It starts with each of them taking an antagonistic attitude toward the other that gradually transforms itself into mutual respect and ultimately friendship. This novel has no political or religious direction, although many of the conversations the two women have between them reflect their personal opinion on many issues of the day. The book might be considered controversial for the views expressed, but its real purpose is to give a human and psychological portrait of one of the greatest female journalists of our era.

First published in 1957, The English Woman in History displays the place women have held and the influence they have exerted within the changing pattern of English society. Ever since the days of Queen Elizabeth I the position of women in English society has been a matter of general debate. In the seventeenth century many men produced books in praise of women, following the example of Thomas Heywood. Most of these books were devoted to the praises of individual women, but their authors generally produced arguments against subjection of all women to the unthinking dominance of men. While married women were still legally subject to their husbands and no women were allowed to take part in public affairs it was impossible to write objectively about women’s place in the world. The women who at the end of the seventeenth century began to write were generally fired by a sense of injustice, and men tended to write condescendingly of charm and beauty, which interested them more than intelligence and wit. Now that women are bearing public responsibilities with success it is possible for historians to look back dispassionately over the centuries and trace the stages by which this position has been won. It is a survey of this nature which Lady Stenton has attempted in this book. This is a must read for students and scholars of women’s history, gender studies and women’s movement.

Former priest reveals a tragic danger of the confessional. What happens when women are commanded, under penalty of eternal damnation, to confess to a man their deepest sexual thoughts and sins? Former priest, Charles Chiniquy, continually dealt with this problem. He personally heard the confessions of over 200 priests. All but 21 admitted falling prey to Satan's devices in this area. This book reverently and tastefully exposes why confession of sins to a man cannot be of God. You'll see how this practice destroys both the priest and the person doing the confessing.

Woman You Need to Hear This is a whisper into the woman's ears, intended to make her appreciate her position according to the structure in the Bible, designed for the marriage institution. It is also intended to make her discover how she can apply herself practically to the demands of this position in order to enjoy the best from her spouse. Abuse is inevitable when purpose is not known; it is appropriate therefore for the woman to learn about the possible contributions she may be making to her own abuse and disrespect, in a bid to avoiding the anguish that counterpoints God's purpose for marriages. Yes, the bible has been referred to in this book as the source of marriage institution, but personal experiences, and creative dramatization of truth have been put into this piece of work, to make the book an interesting must-read for women all over the world.
