Andrew, Jacob and Henry Falkenburg immigrated from Germany to Augusta and Orange Counties, Virginia by 1736, moving to Bladen (later Anson) County, North Carolina by 1746. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Faulkenberry or Fortenberry) and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas and elsewhere.
