The Myth of the Great Satan

Book Description

This critical review of the history of America's relations with Iran shows how little of the two countries' long and complicated relationship is reflected in the foundational axioms of the "Great Satan" myth. The author explains why meaningful and equitable relations can begin only after the two nations have arrived at a common, critical, and accurate reading of the past.

A Classified Look At The Great Satan Of America

Book Description

IT DEVELOPED INTO A DEATH THREAT... AND THEN MY PHYSICAL WELL BEING. It began at a very young age; I was inspired to be an accomplished springboard diver and an academic student. With an undefeated 3 year high school diving run I accomplished an unprecedented diving 3 time gold medal State Championship and a 3 time All America; also I earned a top 10% academic standing. At the University of Kentucky (i.e.UK) I earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting and at R.I.T. I earned a Master's degree in accounting. At UK I earned a full diving athletic scholarship which included co-captain and a closely contested outstanding 4th place finish in the SEC. I've always been and will be a devout Christian; thanks to my parents. It wasn't until my classified auditing job with the Department of Defense that my life went awry. I believe that Satan himself was trying to snatch me from my belief in Jesus Christ. A coworker kept on his regimen in blaspheming God until several times I had asked him to relent. The Government's Satanic System was and still is illegally surveillancing me and I told the Government I was going to expose them for their corrupt Satanic System. In turn, they gave me a death threat, threatened my physical well being and ever since then they have snatched away my pursuit of happiness. They are always watching my every move and up until now it has been a hellish journey. By finally publishing this book, hopefully the journey can now change direction.

The Great War Collection: Look to the East / Whisper on the Wind / Springtime of the Spirit

Book Description

This collection bundles all three novels of Maureen Lang’s Great War series into one e-book for a great value! Look to the East At the dawn of the First World War, the French provincial village of Briecourt is isolated from the battles, but the century-old feud between the Toussaints and the de Colvilles still rages in the streets. When the German army sweeps in to occupy the town, families on both sides of the feud must work together to protect stragglers caught behind enemy lines. Julitte Toussaint may have been adopted from a faraway island, but she feels the scorn of the de Colvilles as much as anyone born a Toussaint. So when she falls in love with one of the stragglers—a wealthy and handsome Belgian entrepreneur—she knows she’s playing with fire. Charles Lassone hides in the cellar of the Briecourt church, safe from the Germans for the moment. But if he’s discovered, it will bring danger to the entire village and could cost Charles his life. Whisper on the Wind In Brussels at the height of WWI, a small, underground newspaper is the only thing offering the occupied city hope—and real news of the war. The paper may be a small whisper amid the shouts of the German army, but Edward Kirkland will do anything to keep it in print. Meanwhile, Isa Lassone, a Belgian-American socialite whose parents whisked her to safety at the start of the war, sneaks back into the country to rescue those dearest to her: Edward and his mother. But Edward refuses to go, and soon Isa is drawn into his secret life printing the newspaper . . . And into his heart. Springtime of the Spirit By the fall of 1918, the Great War has ended and the world is at peace, but there is little to celebrate in Germany. After four years of fighting for his homeland, Christophe Brecht returns to find there is little left of what he once called home. So when family friends ask him to travel to Munich to bring back their runaway daughter, Christophe agrees. When he finally locates Annaliese Duray, he discovers she is far different from the girl he once knew. Headstrong, idealistic, and beautiful, she is on the front lines of the city’s political scene, fighting to give women and working-class citizens a voice in Germany’s new government. As the political upheaval ignites in Munich, so does the attraction between Annaliese and Christophe. With an army from Berlin threatening to squash everything Annaliese has worked for, both she and Christophe are forced to choose between love and loyalty.

Look Great, Feel Great

Book Description

The bodies God gives are instruments for experiencing a fulfilling life on earth, for doing good works, for spiritual development. To do the work individuals are meant to do, they need to keep in shape. They must maintain a sound mind, body, and soul. Yet in the modern world, it is all too easy to let one, two, or all three of these slip. LOOK GREAT, FEEL GREAT presents Joyce's twelve-key plan to address the epidemic of "self esteem drought" that appears to be a factor in perpetuating habits that create poor health.Additionally, Joyce will provide helpful resources, like the "Ounce of Prevention Checklist," for self-maintenance.
