The Haunted Cave

Book Description

During the late 1800's Tom Sanderson’s farm was a great place for fishing. Tom was a very friendly man who liked to give tours in his cave to anyone who fished or hunted on his farm. But Tom's kindness would eventually do him in. One day, like any other day, Tom approached two men who were drinking and fishing in his pond. Tom asked the men, "Would you like to take a tour of my cave just over the hill?" The two men knew Tom was loaded and heard that he kept his money in his overalls. The men said, "Sure we would love to take a tour of your cave." The two men followed Tom over the hill to the cave, but they had their plans and couldn't care less about touring his cave. But the men knew this was a perfect opportunity to overpower Tom and steal his money. As Tom and the men got deeper into the cave Tom said, "Be careful and follow behind me because there is a bottomless pit that we are about to approach at your left.” Just as they got to the pit the two men grabbed Tom and punched him repeatedly and asked him to hand over his money.
