The Krimmingers of Cabarrus


Book Description

Frederick Griminger (ca. 1760-1786) was descended from the German speaking Grimingers who left central Europe and immigrated to America in the mid-1700's. Frederick's family settled in Rowan County, North Carolina. He married Catherine Lyerly and they had two sons. One son, Christopher (b. 1783) moved to Cabbarus County, North Carolina. The other, Frederick (b. 1785) moved to Lancaster District, South Carolina. Descendants live throughout the United States.




The Rape Family Tree

Peter Rape (d.1788/1789) moved from Pennsylvania to what is now Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and married twice. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Texas and elsewhere.

Johann Nicolaus Reeb was born about 1620 in what is Alsace-Lorraine and the family lived there for several generations. In 1752 some of them immigrated to Pennsylvania.




Descendants of James & Jennet Morrison of Rocky River


Book Description

James Morrison was a son of William Morrison and Janet Hall of Scotland and married Jennet Morrison in 1757 probably in Pennsylvania. He is buried in Concord, North Carolina. Although many of their descendants are found in North Carolina others are found around the United States especially in the South.
