Get the Summary of Kam Knight's Mind Mapping in 20 minutes. Please note: This is a summary & not the original book. "Mind Mapping" by Kam Knight explores the visual technique of mind mapping, which structures and organizes information around a central idea, reflecting the brain's associative nature. Historical figures like da Vinci and Picasso used mind maps, and Tony Buzan later popularized the method. Mind maps improve memory retention by leveraging visual processing and are more adaptable than traditional note-taking, stimulating creativity and conciseness...

Agile is a mindset and a culture that has evolved beyond software development to encompass all forms of project management, business organizations, defense, and society. In today’s fast- paced and ever- changing world, adopting an Agile approach is essential for organizations to thrive and maintain competitiveness. This book aims to extend the concept of Agility beyond the four declarations of the Manifesto and apply it to various projects, organizations, and even society. The book delves into the intricacies of Agile and highlights its significance in modern workplaces. It emphasizes that Agile is more than just a set of tools and techniques; it is a way of thinking and a culture that requires a deep understanding of psychology and sociology. Key topics discussed: Agility as a leadership characteristic and the meta- mind of Agile • Agile mind- map beyond the manifesto and methods Psychological frameworks (Maslow, TA, MBTI, Left- Right, Slow- Fast) relevant to Agile work and psychosocial games at work Psychological development and Composite Agile Method and Strategy (CAMS) Agile organizational structures and behaviors Agile Transformations in the Digital Age This book is valuable for Agile coaches, mentors, and Scrum Masters looking for more comprehensive answers than what an Agile framework can provide. It is also helpful for business leaders, stakeholders, and product owners who need to deal with ambiguous or unclear issues, as well as project managers and team leaders who already have experience in Agile but feel like something is missing. Additionally, HR professionals and trainers involved in Agile transformation can benefit from this book.

Creative Thinking Enhancement Skills Using Mind Mapping Techniques Having a busy life doesn’t mean that you just let things happen. Planning your life and make alterations to different areas can fill your life with joy and passion. When we talk about mind maps, there are issues you can mind map that may not have occurred to you. We will go over some areas of your life that may need improvement and how you can set up a mind map to see success. Mind maps are underused at this point in time, considering that you are able to create and view them on multiple devices. Any business that wants to succeed in these trying times should immediately get on board with using mind maps. While we covered several fantastic ways to improve your business with mind maps, we certainly encourage you to incorporate them into your personal life as well. The more happy and successful you are in your personal life, it will transfer into extraordinary dividends in your world. Successful entrepreneurs may also be thought of as "idea machines." Going back in history, we would consider Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla as not only inventors but entrepreneurs. We know that Leonardo used his own form of mind mapping to make notes about his creations, long before Tony Buzan brought about the modern mind mapping system. The entrepreneur of today has many hats to wear to run a successful business. Productivity comes to mind as an entrepreneur needs to look at ideas and bring the gold to the top while getting rid of the debris. Mind mapping helps with the elimination process connected to productivity. Tasks for entrepreneurs are often extremely complex, and a regular "to-do" list does not fit into their daily routines. Mind maps allow the entrepreneur to flesh out tasks, adding in pertinent data such as timelines and responsibilities.

What is economics’ missing link? Recent economic crises have had a devastating impact on society. Worryingly, they gravely risked a collapse of the financial system. These crises also painfully revealed economics’ blind spots. Crucially, economics is not an innocent bystander but central to the problem. In this pioneering book, Patrick Schotanus explains that economics’ mechanical worldview is the ontological error which leads to flawed thinking and faulty practices. The Market Mind Hypothesis (MMH) thus calls it "mechanical economics": it not only erroneously views but also dangerously treats the economy as a machine, the market as an automaton, and its agents as robots. Inspired by heterodox economic and leading cognitive thinkers, this book offers an alternative paradigm. Central to MMH’s psychophysical worldview is the fact that consumers, investors, and other participants are conscious beings and that their minds’ extension makes consciousness a reality in markets, exemplified by market mood. Specifically, denial of the complex mind~matter exchanges as the essence of markets means the extended mind~body problem is economics’ elephant in the room. The book argues that if mechanical economics is the answer, we have been asking the wrong questions. Moreover, we will not solve our economic predicaments by doubling down on the assumption of rationality, nor by identifying yet another behavioural bias. Instead, scholars and students of economics and finance as well as finance practitioners need to investigate—through cognitive economics—the deep links between markets and minds to better understand both. With a foreword by investment strategist Russell Napier, an intermezzo by neuroscientist and complexity pioneer Scott Kelso, and an afterword by 4E cognition philosopher Julian Kiverstein.

This book presents a comprehensive review for Knowledge Engineering tools and techniques that can be used in Artificial Intelligence Planning and Scheduling. KE tools can be used to aid in the acquisition of knowledge and in the construction of domain models, which this book will illustrate. AI planning engines require a domain model which captures knowledge about how a particular domain works - e.g. the objects it contains and the available actions that can be used. However, encoding a planning domain model is not a straightforward task - a domain expert may be needed for their insight into the domain but this information must then be encoded in a suitable representation language. The development of such domain models is both time-consuming and error-prone. Due to these challenges, researchers have developed a number of automated tools and techniques to aid in the capture and representation of knowledge. This book targets researchers and professionals working in knowledge engineering, artificial intelligence and software engineering. Advanced-level students studying AI will also be interested in this book.

The Handbook of Mind/Body Integration in Child and Adolescent Development examines issues relating to the mind/body connection in the development of children and adolescents, addressing problems of adverse life experiences with clinical implications, including somatization, functional or unexplained medical disturbances in various organ systems, psychosomatic conditions, and the effects. It discusses the interactions of emotions, experiences, thoughts in the mind – and their manifestations in the body – of children and youth. The book describes the effects of bodily conditions on the emotional state and mental functioning of children, such as cerebral palsy, major medical conditions, and other chronic health problems. It also explores the effects of chronic stress as well as child neglect and abuse on bodily manifestations. Key areas of coverage include: Developmental issues in the embodiment of self and body image in children and adolescents. Trauma and mind/body consequences in children and adolescents. Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Unexplained medical conditions, somatoform disorders, and conversion disorders during childhood and adolescence, including unexplained conditions in different organ systems (e.g., gastrointestinal, dermatological, neurological). Body/mind conditions in youth with physical and intellectual disabilities and chronic or severe medical conditions, including palliative care. Complementary and alternative treatment approaches to mind/body issues in children and adolescents, supplementing the usual mental health interventions. The Handbook of Mind/Body Integration in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is an essential resource for researchers, professors, and graduate students as well as clinicians, therapists, and related professionals in developmental psychology, child and adolescent psychiatry, family therapy, social work, pediatrics, and public health.
