Sweet EscapeAuthor: Kent Oliver BurtMeaghan is intelligent and ambitious. Sebastian is a golden boy at The Sugar House. When Meaghan moves from the farm to the city and goes to work for Sebastian he becomes attracted to her brains, her beauty and her ambition. Meaghan has no desire to sleep her way to the top. And Sebastian is smart enough to know that an office romance might jeopardize his rise up the corporate ladder. But he is in desperate need of a partner, and before long Meaghan becomes indispensable in more ways than one. Meaghan and Sebastian begin to fall for each others charms. The Sugar House, however, has other plans for their sweet romance. Daniel is married but determined to make Meaghan his own. He is willing to use his power and position at The Sugar House to get whatever he wants, and now Sebastian is in his way. Sebastian suspects that Daniel is corrupt and is determined to expose him. Will Meaghan and Sebastian escape Daniel's schemes? Sweet Escape follows the adventures and escapades of Meaghan and Sebastian as they fight to expose the corruption at The Sugar House while exposing each other. Are love and lust stronger than money and power? Will Daniel and The Sugar House destroy Sebastian and Meaghan?PrefaceI wrote this story when I worked for one of the world's largest sugar companies. It gives an inside look into the adventure and intrigue that goes on inside large, global companies, and also the lives of the people that work there. It shows the dark side of the global sugar business. But it also shows a lighter side, a side filled with love and romance as we follow the exploits of Meghan and Sebastian and their many adventures and sexual escapades as they fight to expose the corruption that they see around them. Excerpt From SWEET ESCAPE:"Oh yes, I'm yours. Always yours. Always. You're mine! You're mine!" We babbled together, almost incoherent in our love and lust. The wind billowed the lacy curtains in the window and the cool air rushed over my skin, tautening my nipples. Sebastian idly reached over and brushed one, his smile warm, lazy and utterly satisfied. His arms were wrapped loosely around me, his leg thrown over mine, a mute testament to his claim over me. "I love you, Meaghan," he mouthed to me, obviously as hesitant to break the now quiet calm of the room as I was. I mouthed the same back to him and snuggled in his safe, comfortable, familiar embrace.****The filing cabinet was filled to overflowing with files and papers, the mess in there proof of the inadequacy of the previous owner. I groaned as I realized just how hard it was going to be to find any evidence of what Sebastian and I were after. It was going to take forever. I just hoped Sebastian realized the amount of after hours work that I was going to be punching in order to deal with this. His jealousy over Daniel was uncontrollable, and I knew that we were probably in for a rough ride in that department. The phone ringing pulled my thoughts back to my paying job again."Hi ya babe. Mmm, your voice is just the thing I needed to hear right now." I smiled at the heat in Sebastian's voice, my mind going back over the previous night's escapades in the dining room and then later, again, in the shower. He was insatiable. "Oh is it? I figured you'd be dead to the world today, lying on the bed sleeping all day, just waiting till I come home to keep me up all damn night again." I opened the file and began flipping through the pages, skimming, hoping for something to catch my eye.He giggled wickedly, "Well that was my plan, but Allison called. She wants us to come in to the office this afternoon. Will you be able to get away?""Oh man, I don't know. I have to be brought up to speed on everything before I can start making any decisions here." Suddenly, Golden & Golden seemed to be everywhere on the page in front of me. Small installments of thousands littered the page. "Oh god Sebastian!! I think I've found something!"
