"The Little Folk of the Mountain" is a book for elementary school children, as well as the child in all of us. It is a story about the adventures of eight years old twins who mysteriously find themselves in the Mountain Home of a colony of elves. Elves usually live in remote parts of the world, far from human habitation. Their lives are governed by the seasons of nature. Most important to them is the time of the full moon, which they celebrate, with their Dance of the Full Moon, when the moon rides high in the sky. In the beginning of the story the elves want nothing to do with the twins who have found their way into their mountain home. However as the story unfolds the Queen of the elves recognizes that there is some purpose to the twins being among them and gradually introduces them into some of the secrets of their wonderful way of life and how they protect themselves from danger. On several occasions the elves apply their talents in saving the twins and their family from harm. These situations, exciting adventures for the twins, are the main thrust of the story.

William Campbell Gault (1910–1995) was an American writer. He wrote under his own name, as well as (among others) the pseudonyms Roney Scott, Larry Sternig, and Will Duke. He is probably best remembered for his sports fiction, particularly the young-readers’ novels he began publishing in the early 1960s. Gault was also an acclaimed mystery writer. He was not limited to sports and mysteries, though—he also wrote a substantial body of science fiction. (Admittedly, he did mix crime and sports into his science fiction!) We believe this volume is the largest collection of his fantastic work ever produced. Included are: SCRAP IRON VENUSIAN INVADER CLUTCH OF MORPHEUS TOTAL RECALL BREATH OF BEELZEBUB THE HESITANT ANGEL MADE TO MEASURE LET'S DO IT AGAIN FOG I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS THIS WAY TO MARS JOY RIDE THE HUDDLERS THE MIGHTY DEAD ELECTION CAMPAIGN THE WOMAN OBSESSION TITLE FIGHT ESCAPE FEROCITY If you enjoy this book, search your favorite ebook store for "Wildside Press Megapack" to see the 200+ other entries in the series, covering science fiction, modern authors, mysteries, westerns, classics, adventure stories, and much, much more! When Clint narrowly escapes an attack on his family home, he discovers that the world is far more magical—and dangerous—than he could have possibly imagined. A battle rages, though it’s invisible to most. It isn’t between countries and militaries, it’s between magical creatures who inhabit Earth alongside humans. It’s been getting worse, and now threatens to destroy everyone. The only way to succeed is for fairies and humans to unite and work together. And Clint learns he's one of the few chosen humans who can lead this war. In a world where fairy tales were banned and magical creatures are driven into hiding, uniting against an enemy seems an impossible task, even if failing to do so means the deaths of everyone everywhere. But the impossible doesn’t daunt Clint, even as alliances form and break, secrets are revealed, trusts are broken, and lives are lost.
