To my readers: I hope that my last words and my last chapter have not yet been written. But the muse is an independent spirit. She visits me without warning and she is inclined to leave in the same way. My poems begin during my years at Yale University. Thereafter certain poems express reflections during my travels to many countries. A few poems I wrote in Spanish. They are followed by their English translations.
