The opening keynote presentation is given by Prof Joey Jansen van Vuuren, Tshwane University of Technology, City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, on the topic of The threat of ransomware attacks in Higher Education Institutions. The second day of the conference will open with an address by Dr Manuel Corregedor, Chief Executive Officer at Telspace Africa. His talk is titled A cyber security tale from the trenches. With an initial submission of 163 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 49 Academic research papers, 8 PhD research papers, 8 Masters Research papers and 6 work-in-progress papers published in these Conference Proceedings.
