Thomas Clapp, son of Richard Clapp, was born in Dorchester, England, in 1597. He immigrated to Massachusetts in 1633. He settled first in Dorchester, then Weymouth, and finally in Scituate in 1640. He died in 1684. Descendants lived in Massachusetts and elsewhere.

Nedabiah Lincoln, son of James Lincoln (1715-1788) and Desire, was born in 1758 in Taunton, Massachusetts. He married Sarah Hodges, daughter of Tim Hodges and Lydia, in 1781. They had nine children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Massachusetts, New York and Hawaii.

Thomas Welles (ca. 1590-1660), son of Robert and Alice Welles, was born in Stourton, Whichford, Warwickshire, England, and died in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He married (1) Alice Tomes (b. before 1593), daughter of John Tomes and Ellen (Gunne) Phelps, 1615 in Long Marston, Gloucestershire. She was born in Long Marston, and died before 1646 in Hartford, Connecticut. They had eight children. He married (2) Elizabeth (Deming) Foote (ca. 1595-1683) ca. 1646. She was the widow of Nathaniel Foote and the sister of John Deming. She had seven children from her previous marriage.

The original immigrant was Thomas Bailey, Sr. (1602-1681), who came to America about 1639 and settled in Weymouth, Massachusetts. By 1623 in England he had married a Hester (Esther) or Lydia Slade.
