Book Description
How does one survive in a home that's become a torture chamber, where your daily ration is fear and trauma? One does not have to subject themselves to dehumanization, but most of the time, putting a stop to it is not so simple an act. Until one can safely separate themselves or escapes, how does one cope with such an unfathomable, trauma-riddled circumstance? This is a memoir of catharsis from dehumanization to the reclamation of the dignity and integrity. It is a disclosure- a confession and reflection if you will- by a mother of five who for thirty years lived with her own terrorist and was subjected to a cycle of physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional abuse and violence. Through religion and spirituality- she manages to cope and eventually find the path to deliverance and peace of mind and heart. This disclosure is a case study, which puts a face, a mind and heart to the traumatic subjection to intimate partner violence.
