A Gossip about Old Grimsby

Book Description

This book, first published in 1893, is based upon a series of articles written for the Grimsby News and a lecture given at the Mechanics Hall by the author Anderson Bates. The aim of the book was to preserve the memory of old buildings and landmarks which were rapidly being removed by improvements to the town and to record for posterity the names of the Mayors and Members ofParliament who have represented Grimsby over the centuries.
