Excerpt from A Handbook to County Bibliography: Being a Bibliography of Bibliographies Relating to the Counties and Towns of Great Britain and Ireland Descriptive or bibliographical accounts of parochial documents are included, but Parish Registers themselves, unless accompanied by bibliographical notes, do not come within the scheme. Calendars of local documents are included, but not Calendars of Wills, because I hope later to issue a separate velon'e which will give a bibliography of books on Wills, arranged under counties. The auxiliary lists at the end, printed as appendices, contain chie y such references as I have thought might get overlooked. These appendices designedly omit many well-known hooks, and they are purposely limited to the less-known bibliographies, indexes, &c.
