Book Description

Abstract: An alphabetized listing of national organizations which provide educational materials on disorders related to human genetics and maternal and child health is presented for health professionals, educators, and the general public. Each listing contains the name, address, telephone number (if available), and contact person of the national organization. In many cases, the national organization dispenses its information and services through local groups, and refers inquiries to the appropriate local office. A listing of general health resources in the area of self-help and education and a subject index (which identifies those organizations which deal with specific disorders) also are included. (wz).
