Author Philip Kidd examines the crises of the world in his second Report Planet book. Report Planet comprises a collection of stories around the world, covering topics from royalty to COVID-19 and through many topics in between in a report on the current state of our planet. Work done in the world exists in figures and numbers, and Report Planet translates that work into words. Kidd’s goal with this book is to take work in the world of a boss, statistician, or other expert, information that is muddied by reporter bias and misinformation, and compile it into one source to allow readers to learn what is wrong in the world and how to make it better. “Thank you for the opportunity to give you the important information in a nice way. I know from experience you will be better equipped to find your way around in our precious world.” —Philip Kidd Join Philip Kidd, a boss of the world,as he shares unfiltered stories and insights in Report Planet.

Boreal forests form Earth's largest terrestrial biome. They are rich in ecosystem and landscape diversity, though characterized by relatively few plant species, as compared to other forested regions. The long term viability and sustainability of boreal forests is influenced by many factors. They are subject to interruptions at intervals by large-scale natural disturbances, and increasingly by human activities. Boreal ecosystem development is typically a slow process; hence rapid changes in the global environment may invoke complex responses. Many industrial nations border, or lie within, boreal regions, deriving much of their economic wealth and culture from the forests. The response of boreal forests to changes in the global environment - whether caused by direct human activity or by indirect changes such as the anticipated changes in climate - are therefore of considerable international interest, both for their policy implications and their scientific challenges. This book which contains almost 50 peer-reviewed papers from a world-wide group of experts assembled under the auspices of IBFRA, the International Boreal Forest Research Association, covers topics which will stimulate further research and the development of constructive policies for improved management and conservation of global boreal forest resources.

You should do more than read this book. It contains direct, practical advice in relation to each of the key cardiovascular disorders, and guidance on developing your own personal development plan and the practice learning plan. It is therefore a book to 'do', or interact with, rather than just read. Make use of this book and you will start to release the full potential of clinical governance and will improve the care of people at risk of, or with, cardiovascular problems.' Richard Baker, in his Foreword 'This book will prove to be of huge value to the many doctors, nurses and other disciplines who have a collective determination to improve the primary and secondary prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. It clarifies how the recommendations made in the NSF can be implemented and, as a result, can help people to believe that better, more effective care is possible. Most importantly, readers will also gain the essential confidence to know that they are, indeed, doing the right thing! Practical advice, information and useful case studies are available to the reader and the book narrows the gap between theory and practice. It will encourage primary healthcare enthusiasts to believe that they have the potential to improve community health. Many congratulations to the authors.' Lynn Young, in her Foreword
