D., 1893, at o'clock, and was opened with appropriate religious services. The synod ical sermon, in view of the death of Rev. John H. A. Bom berger, D. D., LL.D., the President, was preached by Rev. Herman Ruetenik, D. D., Vice President, from Mark 4: 26-28: And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as ifa man should cast seed into the ground; and should Sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed Should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
