Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook

Book Description

The Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook is published in four volumes. Volume 4 titled 'Non-Ferrous, Heat Resistant Alloys' is constituted with a series of chapters each dealing with a specific metal or alloy. A unique code number is assigned to each metal or alloy so that a group of identical (oor significantly similar) commercially designated alloys can be referred to by one code number. The format is the same for all chapters. In addition to the acknowledgement, foreword, table of contents, and introductory pages the Handbook contains the following: general discussion of alloys and their properties, abbreviations, heat treat terms, fracture toughness, and cross index of alloys.

Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook

Book Description

The Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook, in 4 volumes, is a continuation of work first published by Syracuse University in 1963 under Air Force Material Laboratory sponsorship. The continuing effort has produced graphic and tabular displays of chemical, mechanical and physical properties on 200 metals and alloys of structural importance in aerospace and defense applications. The data presented is intended to characterize the materials rather than establish design minimums. Also included are data sources, a general discussion of material properties, a glossary of heat treating terms, a discussion of fracture toughness and an alloy cross index. (Author).

Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook

Book Description

The '1970 Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook', up-dated with the insertion of Supplement 2, now contains physical, chemical, and mechanical property information on 187 metals and alloys of interest for aerospace structural applications. Volume 3 contains chapters on heat resistant alloys. Also included are data source references, a general discussion of properties, a glossary of terms, a discussion of fracture toughness and a cross-index of the alloys contained herein.

Volume 2 contains 61 chapters of heat resistant alloys. Also included are data source references, a general discussion of properties, a glossary of terms, a discussion of fracture toughness and a cross-index of the alloys contained herein. New and revised chapters of the annual revision supplements are distributed on a quarterly basis to assure currency of content. (Author).

Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook

Book Description

The "Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook', with the insertion of the first, second, third and fourth revision supplements (Supplements 1, 2, 3, and 4), now contains physical, chemical and mechanical property information on 180 metals and alloys of interest for aerospace structural applications. The present Handbook consists of three volumes: Volume 1: Ferrous Alloys, Volume 2: Non-Ferrous, Light Metal Alloys, Volume 2A: Non-Ferrous, Heat Resistant Alloys. The Handbook also contains data source references, a general discussion of properties, a glossary of terms, a discussion of fracture toughness and a cross-index of the alloys contained herein.
