A Readership Survey for the Air Force Engineering and Services Quarterly

Book Description

This thesis surveyed the intended audience of the Air Force Engineering and Services Quarterly for two purposes: (1) to validate the results of the in-house survey conducted semi-annually by the Quarterly, and (2) to determine ways to improve the quality and timeliness of the Quarterly. The results of the 843 returned surveys were analyzed using standard statistical procedures and compared to the results of the Fall 1984 in-house survey. The analysis indicated that although the two surveys measured slightly different populations, the management information produced by both surveys was similar. The research also generated over 70 suggestions for ways to improve the Quarterly. These suggestions were evaluated for feasibility and subsequently recommended changes in departments, article content, and distribution.
