An Account, Historical & Genealogical, from the Earliest Days Til the Present Time, of the Family of Vance in Ireland

Book Description

Family history and genealogical data about the Vance family in Ireland between early to mid-1600s and the present, living in Ulster and also in some parts of southern Ireland. The family descended from Harold de Vaux, Lord of Normandy, whose sons (Hubert, Rundolph, and Robert) accompanied William the Conqueror to England in 1066 A.D. Rundolph de Vaux, grandson of Hubert, was the first to settle in Scotland, where his descendants lived until the early or mid-1600s. Some descendants immigrated to Australia, to the United States, to Mexico and elsewhere.
