Marinus Willett, Monday, February 23, 1874 Extract from the Minutes of a Meeting of the Standing Committee of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati, held at the New York Society Library, November 22d, 1873. On a motion of the Rev. Dr. Hutton Messrs. John W. Greaton, William H. Crosby and John Schuyler were appointed a Committee to make arrangements for the celebration of the one hundred and forty-second anniversary of the birthday of Washington. In pursuance of their appointment, the Committee invited the Rev. Marinus Willett to deliver an address on that occasion. Extracts from the Minutes of a meeting of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati, held at Delmonico's son Monday evening, February 23d, 1874. On motion of Mr. William H. Crosby it was unanimously Resolved, That the thanks of this Society be tendered to Rev. Mr. Willett for his interesting and instructive address delivered this evening, and that the Committee of Arrangements be directed to have the same printed and copies thereof distributed to the members.
