Book Description

Abstract: An annotated bibliography for environmental and other health professionals, provides resource information generated or supported by a wide variety of US federal agencies. The guide provides information for reports on a wide variety of topics organized among 37 subject categories ranging from agriculture, pollutants, diet and nutrition, and food additives, to disease prevention, hospital workers hazards, diagnostic instruments and workers' compensation. A section on literature searches also is included. This information is intended to assist health professionals in identifying and selecting appropriate materials to update and expand their own knowledge, and to aid in the education of their students and patients. Sources of publications and audiovisual materials and listing of contributing organizations, cancer and educational resource centers, data bases clearinghouses, and accredited residences, in preventive and occupational medicine, are appended.
