The authority of the apostles themselves, who met together on the first day of the week for acts of divine worship. St. John xx., 19; Acts xx., 7; 1 Cor. xvi., 2. It is called the Lord's Day. Kev. i., 10. Q. Do Christians keep this commandment when they rest on the first and not on the seventh day? A. Yes. Because God requires that there shall be an alterna" tion or succession of labour and rest, and that one day out o' the seven should be given to His service; and these are carried out by Christians. Q. How are you taught to keep the Sabbath Day holy? A. By resting from all manner of work. Q. How many days are given you for work? A. Six days. Q. What are you to do in the six days? A.
