This study, based on data from 56 colleges, looks closely at fundraising and advancement efforts run by athletics departments themselves. The study reports on the size and dimensions of these efforts, including data on budgets, staffing levels and salaries. The data is broken out for Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 colleges, and for public and private colleges, by enrollment and type of college. The report covers personnel and salaries, costs and results, as well as detailed data on the effectiveness of various fundraising channels and methods including use of blogs for campaigns, email campaigns, brick campaigns, use of YouTube, Vimeo , Facebook, Google+, Twittter and other social media.
