California attorneys seeking fee awards have relied for the last 28 years on the first two editions of this book--California Attorney Fees Award Practice (Cal CEB 1982 and 1994). This third edition restructures and builds on the prior editions to aid both novice and expert practitioners in determining whether they are entitled to an award of fees, its amount, and the procedures for obtaining fees. This edition updates and expands the substantive law discussion in the earlier editions, and includes a new chapter on fees awarded for arbitration proceedings. All of the chapters have been reorganized to make the information they contain more accessible.
