Autograph letter, signed, from Boston poet and physician Oliver Wendell Holmes to a physician friend, F. Peyre Porcher. Holmes transcribes and comments upon the text of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Accompanied by a brief note of Porcher explaining the context of the letter, and a newspaper clipping describing the letter's rediscovery in 1954.
