A few years back I assisted my son in producing a documentary on suicide prevention/ dealing with many mental health issues that people suffer from - and usually suffer in silence. We titled our film SHATTERED SILENCE, and I think this is where I first began to be triggered in the direction of my OWN silence. Slowly but surely through my own writings/blogging I began to shatter my own silence and unintentionally started in the direction of an actual book. In my very frail beginnings, and NOT knowing where I was even headed, my book editor asked me if I had read the story of Princess Tamar/ King David's daughter - I had not. So I did. And it wrecked me to my core, for so many reasons. Mostly because I myself was a victim of sexual abuse in my youth years. I was raped. Tamar then kind of became who I was writing the book for, like as a tribute to her or me all the other nameless faces down through history - becoming the voice NONE of us got to have. In her sexual abuse story, it speaks of a door being slammed in her face and bolted shut as she was banished and doomed to remain desolate, just her and her shame - and, I just knew. I felt it. I heard the bolt clicking - I felt the shudder of the slam - I recognized the hopelessness of a door being bolted shut. The door represents secrets, lies, coverups, and mostly - silence. So I unbolted my own door, told my own lifelong secret, and slay the dragon of shame. I faced my past and the effects and consequences of it. THAT was the story in my first book Beyond The Bolted Door. The Road Beyond The Bolted Door is what it has looked like (and felt like) on this road to freedom - the journey of the road less traveled. And it's kind of my journal for others to learn from what I learned, and maybe learn it much sooner than I did. I am just sharing sharing my journey from pain to purpose, to show others like me that they are NOT alone. We must become our own heroes and rise up on our OWN behalf. We must do this for those who come behind us. Why we should all keep going, fulfill our own purpose and never give up, is because none of our stories are finished, until ALL of our stories are finished. My first book Beyond The Bolted Door is also available online on Amazon, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Ingram Books, Baker & Taylor. My website is https: //corinechannell.com

When a door is bolted shut, it is locked to either keep someone else out or to keep someone in. It is a door that represents secrets, shame, guilt, lies, cover-ups, and devastation. The longer we don't face what is behind the door, the longer it owns us through fear and shame. Together, let's unbolt some old corroded doors in our lives and find the freedom on the other side. My book is perfect for anyone who has ever felt silenced by their shame, and ridden with guilt that was never theirs to carry. Beginnings and endings are the bookends to every life story. And the journey itself IS the chapters in between. We ALL have a story to tell. No one should ever carry the weight of a secret burden that crushes their soul and cripples their journey. No one should ever feel their story is not worth telling or not worth hearing. If you need some hope; if you need to be reminded of your worth and value; if you need YOUR story to also be heard, then this book is for you. I wrote it for me/ for you and for ALL of us that have ever felt shut out and shut down. There IS hope beyond the bolted doors in our lives.

A New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice Selection "The most exciting and definitive collection of Lovecraft's work out there." –Danielle Trussoni, New York Times Book Review No lover of gothic literature will want to be without this literary keepsake, the final volume of Leslie Klinger’s tour-de-force chronicle of Lovecraft’s canon. In 2014, The New Annotated H. P. Lovecraft was published to widespread acclaim— vaunted as a “treasure trove” (Joyce Carol Oates) for Lovecraft aficionados and general readers, alike. Hailed by Harlan Ellison as an “Olympian landmark of modern gothic literature,” the volume included twenty-two of Lovecraft’s original stories. Now, in this final volume, best- selling author Leslie S. Klinger reanimates twenty-five additional stories, the balance of Lovecraft’s significant fiction, including “Rats in the Wall,” a post– World War I story about the terrors of the past, and the newly contextualized “The Horror at Red Hook,” which recently has been adapted by best- selling novelist Victor LaValle. In following Lovecraft’s own literary trajectory, readers can witness his evolution from Rhode Island critic to prescient literary genius whose titanic influence would only be appreciated decades after his death. Including hundreds of eye- opening annotations and dozens of rare images, Beyond Arkham finally provides the complete picture of Lovecraft’s unparalleled achievements in fiction.

Ramsey Campbell has been hailed as a master of the psychological novel; his ability to convey the twists and turns of the human mind is unparalleled in modern fiction. Through the struggles, failures, and triumphs of Campbell's characters, we see the best and the worst of the human race. In Nazareth Hill, Campbell focuses on a small, highly dysfunctional family--a teenage girl and her father. The emotional turmoil of the girl's adolescence is matched by her father's midlife crisis, and as the novel unfolds, it becomes clear that this battle is only one stage in a centuries-old war between authority and rebellion, suspicion and innocence. "Shocking surprises, alarming horrors, and believable characters--all expertly blended in a fresh, deft shocker." - Kirkus Reviews At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.
