The minority health concerns are graphically reviewed in this chartbook. Sociodemographic characteristics, health status and needs, participation in health programs and involvement in health resources of major racial and ethnic minorities in the United States today are presented. The charts are set up also to compare the data for the minorities with the data for the white population. Tables and Charts include data on age, sex, education, earning level, health status and needs, mortality trends, mortality ratios, birth rate, infant mortality, chronic conditions and their prevalence, specific illnesses such as tuberculosis and syphilis, dentist and physician visits, hospitalization, prenatal care, abortion, financing of health expenditures, and health manpower.
